Automated Faucet Cleaner
Project Overview
In this course project, our team was tasked with designing a product to automate a cleaning task. We chose to develop a device that simplifies the process of cleaning clogged faucets.
Role: Prototyper & Tester
Modified and fabricated prototypes through iterative 3D printing
Conducted design tests to ensure the device met pressure requirements and functional effectiveness
Verified system reliability through experimental trials and simulations

Process
Modeled the product in SolidWorks
Fabricated prototypes using Prusa 3D printers
Applied Bernoulli’s equation to analyze fluid pressure variations
Tested functionality using a simulated pipe drain system
Reduced costs by incorporating off-the-shelf components
Results
Delivered a final prototype that met all design and performance parameters
Demonstrated effective faucet-cleaning capability within pressure constraints
